Canon 5D Eulogy

It has seen four iterations and since its launch in 2005 has been go to camera for professionals and amateurs alike. The original 5D was revolutionary in putting a full frame digital camera within the reach of many people. It was not the first but it was the first to be a practical proposition. The Mk II was the first to introduce a video capability and was a precursor to what is now, with a few exceptions, a universal feature. Now that Canon is concentrating on its new mirrorless range, it is likely that there will not be a 5D Mk V. Amateur Photographer pays tribute.

Thanks Mike, a very interesting read! I brought the Mkii in 2012, moving from the 20D it took awhile to adjust to the full frame perspective - I missed the 20D's APSC crop factor magnification/perspective change but soon realised that cropping in post gave the same results, happy ever since.
