Unremarkable Photo That Is Worthy of Remark

On the face of it, this is a fairly standard shot. Except for one thing. It came at the end of a week when the sun had not bothered to make an appearance. Not a single one. Needless to say, photography had been a challenge. When the skies were not dull and overcast, it was raining. Usually torrentially. I awoke to this on the final day of being away. Of course, it was Sunday.

It had been frustrating as I was was attempting to evaluate a slowish vintage zoom lens which was was not proving particularly easy to focus in conditions which were lacking contrast. This was wide open at f/3.4 and it is as sharp as I would wish and renders well. Definitely a keeper.

Oh, and while I would not use this shot for many purposes, I love this location and have visited many times. Another reason to be happy with the capture.
