This image really has strong emotion. I think the concrete flooring makes the message even clearer, if it had been grass for example it wouldnt have quite the same impact. Great shot and composition.

I think that you are right about the floor, although when I first looked at the photo I found that it was quite scuffed and had a lot of marks. Fortunately I was able to smooth things out by using the Structure function in Silver Efex Pro 2 and then combining the colour and mono layers with nthe luminosity blending option.
