Thanks, Rose, I thought it might be even earlier than that. If it looks as though the planes will be flying, I am going to try and get there.

Not sure we're going to go tomorrow now. We have so much to do before we fly to Canada, including organising several deliveries for a bathroom refit. I have a deadline for an important commission for Biggin Hill Airport

- and minor surgery next week in the middle of everything

Well, we did go after all

And Graham and his wife found us up by the Bomber Command Memorial. We left shortly after the Vulcan display and had a much quicker journey home than last year, not being stuck in never ending queues of traffic trying to get off Beachy Head.

I haven't downloaded my photos yet but will post a couple here in due course.

Mike, Tom, David... Did you make it there ?

Yes, I went by train and have just got back in. I am importing the images into Lightroom as I write. I ventured back to South Cliff where I was last year as that seems to be a good place, being above the crowds and does not get too crowded.

One from this afternoon of the Vulcan flying over Beachy Head before commencing its display. Sadly, a never to be repeated shot.

I only managed two shots during the time that the Vulcan was circling over Beachy Head while waiting to start its display and this is the second, converted to mono. It has brought out the camouflage markings better than I achieved with the very quick and inelegant processing I undertook in Lightroom yesterday evening.
